National Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land
Just when you are certain there are no prettier grounds around any church or building in the world, then you go inside and your jaw drops to the floor when you see the opulent structure and furnishings in every angle of every small and large place of worship. I think I counted 10 separate mini wings or worship altars or churches, but one big huge main one, with side outlets going everywhere for more beauty, statues and stain-glass windows. Finally, when you are finished being awe-struck, you take a tour down in the underground catacombs, and then you know you are in a dream because this only happens in Europe. Seriously did you have any idea there was such a place in America? I cannot get over it! Definitely one of my favorite places… now. 🙂 http://www.myfranciscan.org/
Oh my goodness! The interior of this place is just amazing! Your HDRs just look so awesome! The first two remind of the kind of artwork you would find in a video game – that computer generated look.
Way to go!
Thanks for the comment! The second one is not HDR at all. I just used the middle exposure and ran it through some custom Nik recipes I have created. Fun, huh? I compared it to the HDR version I did in Photomatix and I liked this better! The first shot is an HDR with some Nik too. I am glad this look is working out. I will post a more traditional HDR in the next post.
The stain glass one is just amazing! I mean all of them are but that one is my favorite!!!
I love your pictures, keep them coming!
Thanks for the comment. I am glad you like the stained glass image. The glass work and the art in this place is definitely worth seeing. I will be posting a few more shots on Friday! Thanks for keeping track and commenting!
