We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium this summer, so if you ever get to the Bay Area near San Francisco, be sure to take the drive down to Monterrey and Carmel and spend a few days along the coastline. Here are some of our highlights.

Great images. It would be great to photograph these sea creatures in their natural environment some day.
Right on! I have some scuba diving and seen some amazing things. However, I have not ever had the chance to get into underwater photography. Getting enough light is the hard part down under very far. But when the sun is shining and you are only 15-20 feet deep, the colors are amazing and it would be fun to capture a big green eel or barracuda circling around an old sunken barge. 🙂 It is great to hear from you.. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
WOW. I think I experienced more of Monterey bay from your blog photos than from the trips I’ve taken there. My favorite photo is of the seahorse.
Thanks, Kaelie! I am glad you liked the seahorse. They had an amazing display of all kinds of seahorses when we were there in July. I hope you were able to see them too. They are such incredible creatures. It is good to hear from you 🙂
Love love the Jelly Fish! The contrast and sats are great!
