Here we come Photoshop World – 28 of us from BYU-Idaho!

Since I will be seeing the one and only, world-class Dave Black teach his workshops at Photoshop World this week, I though it only fitting to share my most recent light painting from a few weeks ago, our last night on Lake Powell. We tied off the house boat in this stack of rocks, so I set up my tripod there and got out the lights just after sunset, during what I like to call, the blue hour. I kept a cool white balance to get the blue effect during my 15 second exposure, then I used a warm light to add expose the rocks in the foreground. I still love how you can get such an artistic feeling with light painting. I just can’t decide if the blue-orange color is too much. Is the black and white better?
