The next time you are in Las Vegas, be sure you take the time and $15 to do the Gondola Ride at the Venetian. You will board your four-seat gondola at St. Mark’s Square, which is a replica of the famous square in Venice, complete with sidewalk cafes and street artists. Then your gondolier will serenade you as you wind you through the canal streets and shops for a nice, relaxing float. You can snag some great photos from the water level and you will think you have just been transported to Italy. I remember visiting Venice with my parents at age 11, and I must say the Venetian experience is a very good parallel for a much better price than a trip to Europe. While you are there, be sure you also take in the grand halls and entrances, as well as the outdoor architecture of the Venetian, still my favorite of the Vegas Casinos.
