The grand entrance/yard of Cabin #2 – What in the world were those large pillars for?

Notice the Flamingo Still, as I named it, sitting between two of the pillars. Lots of rusty equipment tell a interesting story of life at the Gold Eye Gold Mine. It is rare to find so many relics left behind. Thank heaven vandals have not carried them off because they certainly breathe life into this scene. Glass bottles were lined up in a dish drainer next the to kitchen sink, as if someone left them there to dry. A vase of plastic flowers was sitting on the kitchen table, and a broom rested against what resembled a rusted out water heater. The “Potty Garden” is just to the right of this yard area, and stone cabin #1 just beyond that.
