Just how I remember it…
This was a fun shot because it is just a large poster mural on the wall outside the Venetian in Las Vegas. I challenged myself to shoot and edit it so it looked like a scene in Venice, Italy. I was able to go to Venice with my family when I was 11, and I must say this does capture what I remember from the seat of an Italian gondola. I can almost hear the gondolier serenading us through the canal. I used a combination of three bracketed shots, then Photomatix Pro, then Camera Raw and finally some sharpening in Photoshop to pull this off.
Wow, I remember you taking this shot and it turned out amazing. It doesn’t even look like a painting on the wall. The edits and touch-ups you did really brought character and life to it. It totally looks like a scene from Venice. Our next Digital Imaging trip should be to Italy.
Thanks for the comment, and I agree we should go to Italy! Can you find the funding?
