My favorite images of 2016… so far!

These are some of my favorite images from the past year. So I entered these in the Eastern Idaho State Fair. There is something humbling about entering the fair. You see so many fabulous photographs that it’s intimidating, but a great learning experience just the same. So don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and show your work. It’s one thing to sell your prints, but yet another to get peer review. It is interesting how some images are just better for digital presentation and some are meant to be printed, framed and hung on the wall.  That’s why I said these are some of my favorites. There are others that don’t hold up to printing, but work so well as digital images for online display. For example, it’s incredible what you can capture with a smart phone!  And if you take a pano, you end up with a huge image (like about 12mb) that is good enough to print a 16×24 print. But the images you see here are not taken with a smart phone. I used my amazing Sony A7Rii mirroless camera for most of them. But a few came out of my Nikon D600. I hope you enjoy these.
