Billy Plank of BYU-Idaho brings home one of the Photoshop Guru Finalist Awards!
For the third year in a row, I was fortunate to travel with our BYU-I Photographics Society delegation to Photoshop World in Las Vegas September 2-7. This is one of the world’s largest digital photography and lighting conferences. Here we are at the Neon Museum, which is a graveyard for all the old neon signs:
This is not a student conference, so our students are competing with professionals in the business. Yet for the third time in a row, we had someone break into the top 21 finalists for the Photoshop Guru Awards. Congratulations, Billy Plank for his finalist winner… shown below…. in the Photo Restoration category!
Besides competitions, the students attended workshops taught by some of the best pros in the business, and some took part in a portfolio critique interview, and were interviewed by Adobe.
