What should I name this image?
A Novice Monk studies the latest news at the Kalaywa Monastery in Yangon, Myanmar. Visiting this monastery today was a delight. Here are my Before and After photographs. Which do you prefer and why? I added a technique I have developed called “texture dodge and burn.” Please help me name this one!?
BACK STORY:
I enjoyed reading a plaque with one of their philosophies which taught me why they were open, friendly and inviting to let us come mingle and observe. I learned today that the Buddhist approach and beliefs vary greatly from one country to another. Perhaps this quote is a possible explanation why reading the news might be encouraged at this monastery: “Oh human being special and perfect teaching of the Buddha, we should wave to all living beings and gather human beings; come, see, and experience.”
