Flamingo Still at Gold Eye Gold Mine

I am not sure what this is, but it looks much like a flamingo or stork, right? My guess is that this good old goldminer was making his own brewsky and this was part of his still. What do you think? The Gold Eye Gold Mine was a fascinating place to photograph, and this object was one of the favorite “things” I captured. I took so many images on two different occasions: Sunrise in the rain and after sunset for light painting. I will be posting all my favorites, now that I have had some time to do the post-production. Just sorting through all my shots was very time consuming, but so, so fun. This is one of my favorite new places for sure.

To take this photo I used my bracketing setting and a tripod to capture three different exposures, then I blended them together and added some final touches in Adobe Camera Raw. Stay tuned for more images from a very cool, old, abandoned gold mine.
